Day 1 All flights leads to Paris.
Today you embark on your tour when you board your flight to Paris. On arrival we will provide you private transfer to your hotel. Self Check-in to your standard class hotel. If you reach early Then discover the City of Light with your travel card(optional). Our flexible routes allow you to immerse yourself in the culture and beauty of Paris with ease. Board at any Tram/Metro/bus and enjoy fascinating facts and stories as you pass through the city’s most iconic landmarks and attractions like Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris, Pont Neuf, etc. Overnight at your standard hotel at Paris.
Day 2 Explore Paris with Versailles
To fully appreciate the grandeur of Paris, we’ll embark on a panoramic city tour with your tour leader cum driver, showcasing the city’s impressive avenues and iconic monuments like Eiffel tower, Avenue des champs Elysées, Pont Alexandre 3, Invalidites, Trocadéro etc... This is an orientation tour and we cover the most interesting spots without entering inside any museum. Next, we will make a stop at Eiffel Tower. You can either take time to explore the neighborhood and have some lunch, or visit the Eiffel Tower at your own expense. Next we'll travel on coach through the Parisian suburbs to the splendid Palace of Versailles, residence of the royal family until the start of the revolution in 1789. We'll return to Paris in the evening. After dinner you may want to avail yourself of the optional cruise along the river Seine.
Day 3 Paris to Heidelberg
By High-Speed train (TGV) you will get from Paris, the “city of love” (via Mannheim) to the romantic city of Heidelberg. Since in Heidelberg the Central station is a little bit outside of the Old Town the tour already includes a taxi transfer to your hotel which is located in the historic heart of Heidelberg. Your tour package includes a suggestion for a walking tour through the Old Town, a “must do” – of course – is a visit of the ruins of Heidelberg Castle which is idyllically towering above the Old Town located at the Neckar River. If you do not want to take the walk up there is also a mountain train which you could take. From the Castle you have a beautiful view over the city and the Neckar River. The historic Old Town is a lively city with many students living there.
Day 4 Explore Munich
After breakfast, we'll transfer you to train station to catch your train to Munich(1st-class Speed Rail from Heidelberg Central Station to Munich). Your very well rated hotel is in walking distance from Munich Central Station Munich. Travel time is about 3 hours so you will be able to start sightseeing in Munich in the early afternoon. With your tour package you will also receive a walking tour suggestion for Munich which will take you to the Marienplatz (Marien square) with the famous Glockenspiel (carillon), to the Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady) and to the Hofbrauhaus for example. Your tour package includes admission to the Residence Museum & Treasury, Cuvilliés-Theatre, Hall of Fame and Statue of Bavaria, Nymphenburg Palace and Park, Marstallmuseum and Museum of Nymphenburg Porcelain.
Day 5 Oberammergau, Neuschwanstein & Linderhof(admission not included)
You have a beautiful escorted coach tour ahead of you today which takes you from Munich into the Alp Mountains. Along the way from Munich to Linderhof Palace, “Royal Villa” of King Ludwig II, beautifully furnished, you will visit Oberammergau for a short stop which allows you to visit the site where the passion play takes place. For many visitors to Germany the highlight is the visit of Neuschwanstein Castle which seems to be taken out of a fairy tale! Seeing the castle from the outside is unforgettable, a (English-speaking) tour of the insight will make a perfect picture! You will have time to explore the castle grounds and you may want to consider taking a short walk to the bridge located behind the Castle from where you have a great view of Neuschwanstein Castle and the Bavarian Alps landscape. Afterwards the coach will take you back to Munich where you will arrive around 6:30pm.
Day 6 Salzburg
After breakfast walk to the train station to catch your train to Salzburg(1st class high speed train ticket). Your very well rated hotel in Salzburg is located in the Old Town, in walking distance from the rail station. Depending on the train you choose from Munich you may have time for some sightseeing in Salzburg before you join the (English-speaking) most unique 4-hour Sound of Music tour. This tour is an ideal opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Maria von Trapp whilst taking in local historical sights both from the city of Salzburg and also the picturesque Lakes and Mountains region along the way. Your tour will end around 6pm at the Mirabellplatz from where it is a short 5 minute walk through the lovely Mirabellgarden down to the river Salzach. Across from the river you find the oldest part of Salzburg with Mozart’s Birthplace, the Residence and the funicular going up to Fortress Hohensalzburg. Along the “Getreidegasse” you find many shops as well as restaurants for dinner.
Day 7 Vienna
After breakfast walk to the station to catch your high speed train to Vienna(1st class high speed train ticket). Today, We’ll explore Vienna's majestic avenues, beautiful palaces, large parks and vibrant city center. Highlights include the great city hall Rathaus, Vienna University, and important sacred monuments such as the Column of the Pest, the gorgeous 18th century St Peter’s Catholic Church, St Stephen’s Cathedral, which is one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world. You will easily explore Vienna and see the amazing Hofburg Palace where Sisi lived, Albertina Palace and the world famous State Opera, where great composers such as Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin performed. You will also pass through the fabulous Palais Schwarzenberg and wander around the Baroque-style garden of the 18th century Belvedere.
Day 8 Your memorable Holiday ends.
Today it’s time to fly back home. Say goodbye to the wonderful new friends you have made on the tour. Check out with pleasant memories of your European trip which you will cherish for a lifetime.
